IEEE day was celebrated by IEEE Student Branch, THDC INSTITUTE OF HYDROPOWER ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY on 4th October 2016 at college campus. The event was attended by more than 60 students, the respected faculty members and also the presence of Director Sir Prof. G.S. Tomar. The event started with the opening speech of Prashant Barthwal in which he welcomed the all dignified faculties and all students. It was followed by the PowerPoint presentation on IEEE day (which covered the topic like "what is IEEE","join IEEE" etc.) given by the IEEE students. Then the seminar was followed by the speech given by Prof. G.S Tomar, SMIEEE (Director THDC-IHET) in which he enlightened us by sharing about IEEE organization, he also shared his valuable knowledge followed by the most awaited cake cutting ceremony. This ceremony was preceded by the Director Sir and the student branch chair. The desired stationery like writing pad and pen were distributed to the entire students. And at last the vote of thanks given by faculty Mr. Nitin Kumar Gupta (Astt. Prof. EE), Branch Counsellor IEEE Student Branch THDC-IHET and then certificates and mementos were distributed to the Branch Members of IEEE Student Branch THDC-IHET.Refreshments were arranged for all the attendees.
